Dennys Brands has four main locations. HQ in Leatherhead combines our mail order and warehouse operations along with the accounts, marketing, purchasing and production departments. The Dean Street store, Soho, in the heart of the bustling restaurant district, has become something of an institution for chefs, waiters and all those involved in the hospitality industry. Our Canary Wharf location at Marina Point houses the Joseph Alan brand, specialising in bespoke uniforms and made to measure tailoring.  The latest addition to our retail offering is our impressive flagship store, just off Oxford Street, which combines all the services Dennys Brands has to offer in a one stop shop for the hospitality industry.

Marketing Assistant

Location:  Leatherhead

Full time permanent

Description:

Assisting the Marketing team with all global and local marketing activities external communications, promotions and events in order to optimise existing customer sales and to generate new business.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the development, production and distribution of all Denny’s catalogues.  This involves working closely with the design, purchasing and supplier teams to ensure correct content, pricing etc.  To edit/proof read catalogues, ensuring content and pricing is accurate and that the design is of a professional, high standard.

Working with Web Team to provide relevant images, banners and text for online marketing campaigns.

Assist with review of websites to ensure all content is updated and modern.

Creating, sending and monitoring e-shots to customer database

Researching and monitoring competitor/supplier marketing activity and materials, using this analysis to do things differently and/or look for ways to gain competitive advantage.

Assisting distributors to provide/edit Denny’s content and photography for their catalogues and websites.

Assisting with PR and social media marketing activity: working with agencies to discuss relevant releases, provide content, pictures and ideas for blog, sourcing interesting topics to discuss to generate interest in the brand.

Liaising with retail store, customers and distributors about any point of sale banners they require.  Co-ordinate and deliver materials as necessary.

Maintaining photography database, monitoring the requirement for new photography, arrange photo shoots, editing and retouching pictures as required.  Ensure new photography is delivered to the appropriate contact in the correct format.

Developing a contact database - Source addresses through looking at new business openings, liaising with Soho Shop/Marina Point to expand customer database.

Analysing return rates and relevance of records/oversee accurate maintenance of customer databases.

Assisting with data entry, sorting and cleansing.

Monitoring eBay store, listing any surplus stock and then processing all orders by loading to the system and tracking sales accordingly. Report monthly sales to manager.

Industry experience (desirable).

Good Knowledge of social media – use of listening tools, preplanning scheduling, analytics.

Good knowledge and understanding of latest technology – easily picks up new programs and tools.

 


Garment Technologist

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey

Full time permanent, 40 hours

The role is for a Garment Technologist with proven experience and strong technical ability to manage through to bulk production stages. With good understanding of garment construction, grading, pattern cutting and sizing with the ability to follow this through with suppliers. The ideal candidate will be liaising with customers and overseas supplier's, therefore great communication skills are required to ensure all quality and fit procedures are carried out. Critical Path management will be expected in order for lead times to be met. Travel may be required within the UK and overseas.

Description:

Work alongside the Buying department and suppliers to develop products and ensure the quality standards meet our customers and business expectations

Analyse gaps in the market and design hospitality appropriate clothing that is fashion forward

Work with both the Buyers and Suppliers to ensure samples meet the correct design and quality requirements from initial concept into reality, continuing to work closely with overseas factories, monitoring quality, sampling, fabric stock and specifications

Create & Issue product specifications and ensure the suppliers fully understand and apply instructions

Advise Suppliers on any quality related problems as required. Develop good working relationships with supply base.

Liaise with the Web & Marketing team on customer and product queries, ensuring that the final product is marketed correctly including managing photo shoots off-site

Inspect and measure garments for quality control.

Update size charts and specifications

Deliver training to the sales team on new products you have designed

Requirements:

A good knowledge of yarns, fabrics and testing procedures

Fully understand our customer needs and demands (e.g. price, quality, fit)

Good interpersonal skills communication is key at all times.

Computer literate MS Word and Excel

A relevant qualification in Textiles or Fashion at degree or equivalent level

Willing to travel to visit overseas factories approx. twice a year
