Top 5 shoes

We often get asked by customers which shoe is the ‘most comfortable’, but it is a difficult question to answer objectively, as each person has their own preference. Below are some of our bestsellers, the first five which have a safety toecap, and the latter five which do not. All the chef shoes we sell are slip-resistant and those below are alll unisex. If you want to read more about the safety shoe ratings, check out our blog post here.
One of our bestsellers, this slip-on shoe is popular with everybody from seasoned chefs to culinary students. Customers love the efficiency and ease of the DK40C, as well as the durability.
The DK41 is also a slip-on shoe, but as opposed to the enclosed DK40, it has an open back with an elastic strap, for those who want a steel toecap but prefer a sandal type shoe.
The third in our trio of most popular steel toe shoes, the DK42 is a laced shoe. For those with narrower feet, it is preferred as the shoe can be tightened, unlike the slip on shoe.
This laced shoe is popular with those with slightly wider feet, as it is not as tight a fit as some other shoes. This leather shoe has a breathable mesh lining and grey reflective stripes.
New to our stock, the safety toe cap is made from resin, making this slip-on clog lightweight compared to the steel toe equivalent. The DK150 is a favourite amongst new starters, who require a safety toe, but are not yet used to the weight of them.
The Boston Birkenstock is the most popular chef shoe worldwide for chefs, seen on shows such as ‘The Bear’. Although they take time to wear in, the chefs who wear them will buy nothing else, due to the unique footbed that moulds to the shape of the foot, the slip resistance, and ease of cleaning.
Identical to the DK100 except for the additional strap on the back, the Tokio shoe is also a popular choice, for those who like the Birkenstock Boston but want an extra bit of support.
A leather anti-slip trainer, the DK102 is popular due to its lightness, comfort, and the similarity in appearance to everyday trainers. Available in black or white.
A favourite for those who prefer a clog, liked by customers for its durability, water resistance, and agility. Made of an ethylene-vinyl acetate and rubber blend, the strap at the back can offer added support.
Although we are reluctant to declare a shoe ‘the most comfortable’, due to everyone’s individuality, this shoe is described as such, often by customers. A slip on shoe, made of the same materials as the DK101, it has a removable cushioned insole, for extra comfort.
